Arrest Made in San Antonio Murder Case: Suspect Charged with Stuffing Victim in Trash Can
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Police have made an arrest in connection with a brutal murder that shocked the community earlier this month. The suspect, Lance Bray, 34, allegedly confessed to killing a 43-year-old man, Eric Garcia, and disposing of his body by stuffing it inside a trash can. The arrest comes after an intensive investigation led by the San Antonio Police Department.
Details of the Murder Confession
According to an arrest affidavit, Bray divulged to an individual that he had committed the heinous act on December 8 in San Antonio. The affidavit further reveals that the victim’s lifeless body was discovered inside a trash can. The police have identified the deceased as Eric Garcia.
Law enforcement officials have also stated that there is substantial evidence linking Bray to the crime scene. This crucial evidence strengthens the case against him as investigators gather more information to build a solid prosecution.
Break-In and Verbal Confirmation
Authorities have uncovered additional disturbing details surrounding the case. It has come to light that Bray broke into a hotel room where two witnesses, who had knowledge of the murder, were staying. Once inside, he verbally confirmed the killing and disclosed the location of the body. Shockingly, one of the witnesses reported Bray warning them, saying, “you know what happens to snitches.”
Police responded to a disturbance call at the hotel involving Bray and the witnesses. However, it is reported that no mention of the murder was made at the time. It was only recently that the witnesses came forward with this crucial information, leading to Bray’s arrest.
Death Investigation and Charges
Death investigators have determined that Garcia’s cause of death was asphyxia. However, the authorities have not disclosed the exact location where the victim’s body was found. This additional information may be key in further unraveling the circumstances surrounding the murder.
