29-Year-Old Santa Ana Man Arrested for Allegedly Stabbing Amazon Warehouse Employee

A 29-year-old man from Santa Ana, identified as Andrew Ariel Alfaro, has been taken into custody after allegedly stabbing a female employee at an Amazon warehouse in Mission Viejo. Alfaro, who works for a delivery service associated with the online retail giant, is now facing charges of attempted murder. The victim, a 48-year-old woman, remains in critical condition following the assault, according to a statement released by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities have referred to Alfaro as a “delivery employee” who is employed by one of Amazon’s delivery service partners. The motive behind the attack and any potential connection between Alfaro and the victim are currently under investigation.

The incident took place on Tuesday morning, just before 9:30 a.m., at the Amazon facility located on Jeronimo Road. Deputies promptly responded to reports of a knife attack, discovering the victim with multiple stab wounds to her upper body. She was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where she remains in critical condition as of Wednesday.

Law enforcement officers located Alfaro in the parking lot of the facility, where he surrendered without resistance and was subsequently arrested. A knife, believed to be the weapon used in the assault, was recovered from the crime scene.
