Accident – Death – Obituary News : The San Francisco Bay Area is expected to experience a period of potentially rainy weather following the Christmas holiday, according to the National Weather Service. In an outlook issued by the Climate Prediction Center, it was stated that precipitation is likely to be above average from December 28th through January 3rd.

The first chance of rain is predicted to occur on Tuesday in the North Bay, followed by rain accompanied by wind on Wednesday in various areas including the North Bay, San Francisco Peninsula, East Bay, South Bay, Santa Cruz County, Monterey County, and San Benito County.

In other news, the San Mateo Police reported that three men were tracked down by a drone with a surveillance camera after stealing more than $50,000 worth of goods from two homes. One suspect was found hiding in a portable bathroom, another on the roof of a home, and a third was arrested as he fled from a backyard. The suspects, Jhon Larotta Vargas, Leonardo Sanchez Martinez, and Jesus Velez Hernandez, were charged with residential burglary, grand theft, conspiracy to commit a crime, possession of stolen property, and resisting arrest.

In San Francisco, four men were charged with drug dealing in the Tenderloin neighborhood. Albert Hernandez, Edwar Romero-Arteaga, Eduar Jose Rodriguez-Garcia, and Christian Gamez-Medina were arrested in a three-block area and charged with the sale or possession of cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, and methamphetamine. All of the men pleaded not guilty and were detained pending trial due to the risk they pose to public safety.

A 58-year-old married softball coach from Monterey was sentenced to two years in prison for engaging in a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl he had coached for three years. Richard Douglas Aldrete met the girl when she was 14 and began making advances towards her when she turned 17. The judge ordered him to register as a sex offender due to the violation of trust.

In Santa Rosa, an 18-year-old man was accused of murder following a dispute in an apartment that turned deadly. Troy Henry called 911 to report that he had shot someone in the 800 block of Yulupa Avenue. The victim, a 34-year-old Santa Rosa man, was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at a local hospital. Henry was taken into custody at the scene.

A fatal crash occurred on State Highway 1 in Santa Cruz, resulting in the death of a 27-year-old man. The driver, a Santa Cruz resident, veered off the highway and overturned. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.

In a significant development, a Visalia man was convicted of the 1999 murder of a Salinas car dealer. Jimmy Torres Rodriguez, now 51, was found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Elias Diaz. DNA testing of clothing and witness testimony linked Rodriguez to the murder.
