Discovery of the remains

Razpotnik’s remains were found in December 1985 near a second set of remains, referred to as Bones 16, in the city of Auburn. The discovery occurred when police were called to investigate a car over an embankment, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

The involvement of the Green River Task Force

The Green River Task Force was assigned to oversee the investigation; however, the remains remained unidentified for many years, as stated in the official release.

Break in the case

Years passed without any significant breakthroughs until Gary Ridgway was arrested in November 2001 after DNA evidence linked him to several of the earliest victims in the series of unsolved murders in the Seattle area.
