LAS VEGAS Man Arrested for Fatally Stabbing Girlfriend

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas police apprehended a man who allegedly stabbed and killed his girlfriend on Wednesday evening. The tragic incident unfolded on December 20th around 8 p.m. when officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a distress call regarding an “injured person” at the 3500 block of Mountain Valley Drive.

Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered an unresponsive woman, who had sustained severe trauma and stab wounds. Medical professionals sadly pronounced her dead at the scene. The man involved, identified as 39-year-old Brandon Tenorio, was also present at the location.

According to the police, Tenorio engaged in a verbal altercation with his girlfriend before allegedly stabbing her and striking her with a blunt object. The motive behind the violent act remains under investigation.

Police Investigation and Arrest

The investigation revealed that another individual was present at the residence during the incident, but Tenorio allegedly prevented them from leaving. Fortunately, they managed to escape and promptly contacted the police, leading to Tenorio’s arrest.

Following his apprehension, Tenorio was transported to the Clark County Detention Center to face multiple charges. These include open murder with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, and kidnapping with a deadly weapon. Tenorio’s initial court appearance is scheduled for December 21st at 1:30 p.m.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim, along with the cause and manner of her tragic death.
