COWLEY COUNTY—A hit-and-run incident occurred late Tuesday evening in Cowley County, resulting in two individuals sustaining injuries.

The Kansas Highway Patrol has reported that a 2011 Ford F150, driven by 23-year-old Audrey N L Yingling from Winfield, was travelling northbound within the premises of 902 Main Street’s parking lot when it collided with two pedestrians. After the collision, the driver fled the scene, leaving the injured victims behind.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) swiftly responded to the scene and transported the injured individuals to Wesley Medical Center. One of the victims has been identified as 30-year-old Meighan E I Hipsher from Burden, while the other is a child whose identity has not been disclosed for privacy reasons.

Following the incident, local authorities were able to locate and apprehend Audrey N L Yingling. She is currently in custody in Cowley County, as confirmed by online jail records. The police have refrained from releasing detailed information about the potential charges she may face at this time.
