Election Official Al Mamun killed in Tragic Dhaka Road Accident

An election officer tragically lost his life last night (December 20) in a motorcycle accident on Airport Road in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The deceased, Al Mamun, aged 46, resided in a flat in Mohammadpur along with his family.

According to reports, Mamun was returning home from his Uttara office at around 10pm when a lorry collided with his motorbike on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in the Airport Road area.

Local residents promptly came to his aid and rushed him to Kurmitola General Hospital. However, due to the severity of his injuries, Mamun was transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where he tragically succumbed to his injuries around 11pm.

The body has been placed at the hospital morgue, as confirmed by DMCH police outpost in-charge inspector Md Bachchu Miah.
