A man from Calgary is facing serious charges following a tragic hit-and-run incident that resulted in the loss of a life in the Horizon neighbourhood last summer.
According to authorities, it is believed that a woman, identified as Brandy Hillman by her family, was struck and tragically killed by a vehicle while she was walking in the 3800 block of 34 Street N.E. This unfortunate incident occurred shortly before 1:30 a.m. on the 21st of July.
Law enforcement officials were immediately involved in the investigation and were on the lookout for a dark-coloured 2008-2010 Dodge Grand Caravan, which was reported to have fled the scene of the accident.
Recently, the police have made a significant breakthrough in the case. Rajnesh Kumar, a 45-year-old resident of Calgary, has been charged with hit-and-run and hit-and-run causing death. These charges indicate the severity of the incident and the potential consequences the accused may face.
