The Will County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the man found shot to death on Tuesday in Crest Hill as Damen D. McKenzie, a 47-year-old resident of Crest Hill. This incident marks the second fatal shooting on the same block within a span of just over three weeks.

According to the Crest Hill Police Department, officers responded to a report of shots fired at approximately 1 p.m. on Tuesday in the 1100 block of Elizabeth Court. Upon arrival, they discovered McKenzie’s lifeless body inside a vehicle.
