Two Individuals Charged in Connection with Suspicious death Investigation in Carleton Place

Carleton Place, UK – Two people have been arrested and charged in connection with a suspicious death investigation in Carleton Place. The body of Rose Kerwin, a 50-year-old woman, was discovered in the Mississippi River near Pakenham on November 12. Kerwin had been reported missing to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) on November 13.

Following an extensive investigation, authorities apprehended and charged Marcel Lapensee, a 56-year-old resident of Carleton Place, and Samantha Osborne, a 23-year-old individual from Iroquois, on Tuesday, December 19. Both Lapensee and Osborne are facing a charge of first-degree murder.
