Tragic Accident Claims the Life of Stamford Resident

Stamford, UK – Stamford Police have reported a devastating incident involving a pedestrian who was struck by a car on High Ridge Road early Tuesday morning. The unfortunate collision occurred at approximately 6:50 am, resulting in the pedestrian’s untimely death.

The authorities have identified the deceased as Cesar Cabrera-Guzman, a 48-year-old Stamford resident. The incident took place near the intersection of Janice Road, where Mr. Cabrera-Guzman was crossing the busy High Ridge Road. A 2012 Chevy Suburban, traveling southbound, collided with the pedestrian, causing life-threatening injuries.

The incident was witnessed by off-duty Stamford Police Lt. James Comstock, who happened to be traveling in the same direction on High Ridge Road. Lt. Comstock promptly called for emergency medical services (EMS) and immediately rendered aid to the injured pedestrian. Despite their best efforts, Mr. Cabrera-Guzman’s injuries proved fatal. He was subsequently transported to Stamford Hospital, where medical personnel continued life-saving procedures. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The operator of the Chevy Suburban, a 58-year-old resident from Wilton, remained at the scene and has been cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation. Stamford Police are actively working to determine the exact cause of the collision.
