In East Price Hill, a crash with injuries has been reported on Glenway Avenue, causing disruptions to the morning commute. The incident occurred on Interstate 75 Northbound after a person ran onto the highway following a possible abduction case. Police are currently investigating the situation, and the highway is expected to be shut down for several hours.

The incident began in the early hours of the morning when Cincinnati Police received reports of a possible abduction. The victim, a woman, was reported missing by her family members. Police initiated a pursuit after spotting the suspect’s vehicle, but were unable to apprehend him. The suspect eventually abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, making his way onto Interstate 75 Northbound.

Tragically, the suspect was struck by at least one car on the highway and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim of the reported abduction, however, has been located and is safe. Police are currently investigating the relationship between the suspect and the victim.

Due to the ongoing investigation, Interstate 75 Northbound has been shut down, causing significant disruptions to the morning commute. Motorists are advised to find alternate routes and expect delays in the area. Traffic lights in the vicinity of the crash are also out, further complicating the situation.

In addition to the crash on Glenway Avenue, residents in Mount Auburn are also experiencing power outages after a semi-truck crashed into a pole. The crash occurred at Reading Road and McGregor Avenue, causing a blackout in the area. Duke Energy is currently working to restore power, and it is expected to be fully restored by approximately 7:15 AM.

As a result of the power outage, traffic lights in the affected area are not functioning. Motorists are reminded to treat intersections with non-functioning traffic lights as four-way stops and proceed with caution.

On a lighter note, the weather is expected to warm up throughout the day, with temperatures reaching around 50 degrees in the afternoon. The mild weather is expected to continue through Monday, but rain is forecasted for Christmas Day. Those planning to run errands or visit family should be prepared for wet conditions.
