Divyangjan Arrested for Allegedly Digging House in Search of Hidden Treasure in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: A 47-year-old Divyangjan named Tandasi Shanmukha Rao from Thatichetlapalem was taken into police custody after allegedly digging up his house in search of hidden treasure. The police responded to complaints from neighbors who claimed that Rao was performing poojas at his residence. Upon searching the premises, the police discovered a 15-feet deep pit but found no treasure.

According to DCP Zone II K Ananda Reddy, Rao had hired laborers to dig up his house for Vastu-related purposes. He had sought the help of a priest to improve his financial condition following the recent demise of his mother.

Rao denied any involvement in the search for hidden treasure and claimed that he was blackmailed by four individuals posing as media persons, resulting in a loss of Rs. 80,000.
