Authorities Identify Suspects in Connection with Lancaster Crash that Killed 4-Year-Old Boy

LANCASTER, Calif. (CNS) – Authorities have identified two suspects who are now in custody in connection with a tragic crash that claimed the life of a 4-year-old boy in Lancaster, California.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported that the incident occurred on Friday around 7:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Sierra Highway and East Avenue J.

Law enforcement officials have named the suspects as Byron Burhurt, 29, and Alexandria Gentile, 27, both of whom have previous murder convictions.

Details of the Incident

According to the investigation carried out by authorities, the driver of one vehicle cut off the car carrying the young boy, his father, and mother. Subsequently, a pursuit ensued through surface streets. The suspect, upon catching up with the victim’s vehicle, entered the passenger side and opened fire, resulting in the tragic death of the 4-year-old boy, identified as Gore Adamian. The child was sitting in the back seat and sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body. His parents rushed him to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Sheriff’s officials have confirmed that the suspects’ vehicle was found at the scene of the shooting. Consequently, a man and a woman were apprehended on suspicion of murder.

Outrage and Calls for Justice

Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, representing the Lancaster area, expressed her condemnation of the boy’s murder. In a statement, she said, “The death of this young child is shocking. The family is now inexplicably childless, and it has devastated them. Our streets should never be a place for such random and unacceptable violence. It is imperative that the suspects responsible for this horrific murder face the full consequences of the law. I would also like to extend my gratitude to the swift action taken by law enforcement professionals who apprehended the suspects and removed them from our community. Acts of violence like this cannot be tolerated.”
