35-Year-Old Pune BJP Youth Wing Office Bearer Found Dead on Railway Track

A tragic incident unfolded in the Hadapsar area of Pune on Tuesday, as the lifeless body of Sunil Dhumal, a 35-year-old office bearer of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was discovered on a railway track. The Government Railway Police (GRP) has initiated an investigation into the circumstances leading to Dhumal’s untimely demise.

Dhumal, a resident of the Sade Satra Nali locality in Hadapsar, was found dead on Tuesday morning. According to Rajendra Gaikwad, the Inspector of GRP, the authorities received reports of a deceased individual on the railway tracks in Hadapsar around 7.50 am. Upon arriving at the scene, it was confirmed that the deceased was indeed Sunil Dhumal. The injuries sustained by Dhumal were consistent with being hit by a moving train, resulting in his tragic passing.

Tushar Doshi, the Superintendent of Police at Pune GRP, shed some light on the initial investigation, which was primarily based on information provided by Dhumal’s family members. It is believed that Dhumal dropped off his daughter at school on his motorcycle and subsequently parked his bike near a gate along the railway line. Witnesses recall seeing him engaged in a phone conversation while walking beside the railway line. The exact sequence of events leading to his death is currently being ascertained.

Sandeep Khardekar, spokesperson for the BJP, expressed his condolences and stated that Dhumal held an important position within the Pune unit of the BJYM. He also mentioned that Dhumal was actively involved in the organization’s public relations wing. The BJP is providing support to Dhumal’s grieving family during this difficult time.
