PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD (WDBJ) – In a devastating turn of events, a fatal crash in Maryland has claimed the life of Kerri Snead, a 32-year-old woman from Virginia. The incident occurred in Prince George’s County, Maryland, leaving the community in shock and mourning.

Details of the Accident

The unfortunate incident took place on the early morning of December 8, when Maryland State Police troopers received a distress call regarding a crash involving a pedestrian near Outer Loop Interstate 495 at Allentown Road. According to the preliminary investigation, Snead’s vehicle was traveling south on the Inner Loop of I-495 when it encountered a mechanical issue, forcing Snead to pull over.

Snead, accompanied by another individual and her loyal pet dog, exited the vehicle with the intention of crossing the Outer Loop. Tragically, as they attempted to make their way across the road, Snead and her beloved dog were struck and killed by the driver of a Hyundai. The other person present managed to escape unharmed.

Investigation and Legal Proceedings

Following the fatal crash, the Hyundai driver involved in the incident was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the collision. At present, no charges have been filed against the driver, as the investigation is ongoing. Maryland State Police are diligently working to gather all relevant information and evidence to determine the circumstances leading to this tragic accident.
