According to the Chicago Police, Williams allegedly strangled Parker on December 12th in the 7200 block of South Phillips Avenue. Her lifeless body was discovered in the building at around 7:24 p.m. on the same day. Parker had previously been the subject of a missing person alert issued by the Chicago Police on November 26th. It is worth noting that she had also been reported missing earlier on August 31st, but returned home the following day.
Describing her daughter, Amarise Parker’s mother, Yahanna Clark, said, “She was a lovely soul. Everybody loved her. Although she had been missing, she didn’t deserve this. She didn’t deserve this.” The devastating loss of another young life has left the Chicago Public Schools community in mourning. Amarise was a sophomore at CICS Loomis Longwood High School, located at 1309 W. 95th St.
Williams was apprehended on Saturday after being identified as Parker’s killer, according to the police. In addition to the murder charges, he was also wanted on an out-of-state arrest warrant. Williams is scheduled to appear for a detention hearing on Tuesday.
