Investigation Underway After Man Found Dead in Vehicle Fire in Kent County

Authorities in Kent County, MI have launched an investigation following the discovery of a deceased individual inside a vehicle that was engulfed in flames, as reported by the Kent County sheriff’s deputies.

The deceased has been identified as a 42-year-old resident of Kentwood.

The incident occurred at approximately 8 a.m. on Tuesday, December 19th, along 68th Street near Clay Avenue in Byron Township, according to the police.

Eyewitnesses at the scene reported hearing an explosion. Upon the arrival of the police and firefighters, they discovered a vehicle fully consumed by flames.

Tragically, the lifeless body of the Kentwood resident was found inside the burning vehicle.

The cause and origin of the fire remain unknown, and authorities are diligently investigating the circumstances leading up to this incident.
