Woman Arrested for Speeding in Preston, CT

PRESTON, CT (WFSB) – A female driver was apprehended for exceeding the speed limit in a 50 mph zone in the early hours of Sunday morning on route 2.

The driver has been identified as Hannah P. Morrow, a resident of Fairfield. Morrow was heading westbound when she was caught by officers driving at a speed of 74 mph.

When the police activated their emergency lights, Morrow came dangerously close to rear-ending two other vehicles before eventually bringing her car to a stop.

Officers approached Morrow’s vehicle and immediately noticed that her eyes were glossy and she emitted the smell of alcohol.

Following a failed sobriety test, Morrow was placed under arrest and transported to the Ledyard police department.

Morrow now faces charges of driving under the influence (DUI), speeding, and tailgating.

Following her arrest, she was held for a period of four hours before being released on a non-surety bond of $500.00. Morrow is scheduled to appear in court on January 22nd at the New London Superior Court.
