Another individual who was rendered unconscious in the gas leakage incident in Nawanshahr, Abbottabad, tragically passed away on Monday, elevating the death toll to six.

The deceased, identified as Waqas Ahmed, breathed his last at the District Headquarters Hospital after battling for six days.

Five of his family members had previously succumbed to the tragic incident. The funeral prayers for Waqas Ahmed were held in his native village. According to sources, the gas heater leakage incident occurred at Waqas Ahmed’s residence in Chunakari, Nawanshahr, last Tuesday. As a result, four of his young children and his wife lost their lives, leaving him in critical condition.

The deceased family members have been identified as 28-year-old Shamsa Bibi, 7-year-old Wasi, 5-year-old Romansha, 3-year-old Rafay, and 2-year-old Ramsha. Waqas was found unconscious and subsequently rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital in Abbottabad, where his condition was declared critical. Unfortunately, he passed away yesterday.
