The arrest report reveals that Rodgers and her boyfriend had traveled to Las Vegas on December 1 with the intention of engaging in prostitution. Friends of Rodgers had told detectives that she worked as a sex worker and it was unusual for her to not check in or return from her “dates.”

The motive behind the murder is thought to be related to a double murder in California. Harnden allegedly implicated her boyfriend in that crime, and Rodgers had reportedly shared this information with others. This led to a dispute between Harnden and Rodgers, which ultimately resulted in the murder plot.

Police uncovered messages on the communication application Telegram dating back to December 1, in which Comanche and Harnden planned the kidnapping and murder of Rodgers. The messages discussed luring Rodgers by pretending to be a client interested in purchasing sexual services. They also discussed different methods of killing her, including poisoning and strangulation.

Surveillance video and additional evidence, such as witness statements and Uber records, helped police piece together the events leading up to the murder. Comanche was seen visiting and leaving a hotel in Henderson, and Harnden was captured on video leaving Comanche’s hotel room visibly upset and crying.

Harnden was taken into custody in Las Vegas on December 13, where she claimed that Rodgers had left in an Uber the last time she saw her. However, police discovered that there were no Uber rides matching Harnden’s claim.

Comanche was apprehended in Sacramento County later that week. During questioning, he admitted to posing as a client and meeting up with Rodgers, as well as texting Harnden about the plan while Rodgers was in the car with them. He described how the murder was committed, with him attempting to strangle Rodgers with a cord while Harnden tried to choke her with her hands.

Comanche provided information to police that led them to the location of Rodgers’ remains.

Both Comanche and Harnden are facing serious charges and are expected to appear in court. Comanche, who was released by his G-League team following his arrest, is scheduled to be extradited to Nevada.

This shocking case has left the Las Vegas community in disbelief and serves as a reminder of the dangers associated with illegal activities and the tragic consequences that can result..
