Amidst a severe storm in Hanover, Massachusetts, a devastating incident unfolded as an 89-year-old man lost his life when a massive tree fell onto the trailer he was inside. The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office shared the tragic news, revealing the heartbreaking details surrounding the incident.

The elderly victim, identified as Robert Horky from Hingham, Massachusetts, was tragically pronounced dead at a local hospital following the incident. It was reported that a tree collapsed onto the small travel trailer, trapping Horky inside.

Emergency services were alerted at 9:47 a.m. on Monday after a distress call was made regarding a fallen tree outside a workplace located at 99 Industrial Way. The caller informed the authorities that the tree had crashed onto a trailer, with a man trapped inside in dire need of rescue.

Responding promptly, both the Hanover Police and Fire Departments arrived at the scene to provide immediate assistance. Despite their efforts to extricate Horky from the trailer, he had suffered severe head trauma during the incident. Consequently, he was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital. However, Horky’s injuries proved fatal, resulting in his untimely demise.
