37-Year-Old Man Found Dead in Mysterious Circumstances at Staff Quarter in Northeast Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 19 (PTI) – In a shocking incident, a 37-year-old man identified as Ramji Lal Kumawat was discovered dead under mysterious circumstances in his staff quarter located in northeast Delhi on Tuesday. The local police have registered a case of murder and initiated a thorough investigation into the matter.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast) Joy Tirkey, the Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital received a distress call reporting the death of Ramji Lal Kumawat. The police promptly dispatched teams to the scene and initiated an inquiry into the incident.

The deceased, Ramji Lal Kumawat, was a nursing staff at the hospital, while his wife Sudha Kumawat worked as a guest teacher at a government school. The couple had been married for the past 12 years and had two children.

The sequence of events leading to the discovery of Ramji Lal Kumawat’s lifeless body unfolded in a rather chilling manner. The family had returned from Jaipur at around 12:30 am on Tuesday after attending a wedding. They had opted to travel by bus. While their children slept peacefully in a separate bedroom, Ramji Lal Kumawat and Sudha Kumawat engaged in a conversation that lasted approximately an hour, according to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast).

It was Sudha Kumawat who woke up around 6 am and made the horrifying discovery of her husband’s lifeless body lying in a pool of blood near the toilet. A knife was also found at the scene, adding to the eerie nature of the situation.

Upon initial inspection, the police discovered a deep incised wound on the right side of Ramji Lal Kumawat’s neck. Subsequently, a case of murder has been registered at the New Usmanpur police station.

“We are actively investigating the matter, and we are confident of apprehending the perpetrator soon,” assured Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast) Joy Tirkey.
