Three Dead and Three Injured in Road Accident in Thane District
Thane, December 18 (PTI) – A tragic road accident in Ulhasnagar, Thane district on Monday claimed the lives of three individuals and left three others injured, according to a police official.

The incident occurred at around 5:30am when a car, allegedly driven by an intoxicated driver, collided with autorickshaws and two-wheelers in the vicinity of Central police station limits.
The victims, who were occupants of the vehicles that were hit by the car, have been identified as Subuddin Jana and Anjali Jana, a couple, and Shambhuraj Chavan. The injured individuals have been admitted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment, the police official informed.
Nagesh Ramani, the driver of the offending car, fled from the scene of the accident but was apprehended by authorities shortly afterward.
He has been charged with various offences under the Indian Penal Code and the Motor Vehicles Act.
