At precisely 7:17 a.m., officers from the Birmingham Police Department’s North Precinct responded promptly to a distress call reporting a person down in the 300 Block of 2nd Avenue North.

Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement discovered an adult male lying unresponsive in close proximity to a commercial building. The Birmingham Fire and Rescue Services arrived swiftly and, unfortunately, pronounced the victim dead.
