Man Charged with Multiple Crimes in the Loop

CHICAGO (CBS) – A 24-year-old man, Terry Ivory, was apprehended on Sunday by Chicago police officers in the 0-100 block of West Lake Street. Ivory has been charged with multiple offenses, including robbery, aggravated battery, attempted vehicular carjacking, aggravated battery, and theft.

The incidents occurred in the Loop earlier this month, with Ivory being identified as the perpetrator. On December 2nd, Ivory assaulted a 61-year-old man and attempted to forcefully take his car in the 800 block of South Wabash Avenue. Just 20 minutes later, he targeted a 69-year-old woman, robbing her and attempting to carjack her in the 800 block of South Michigan Avenue. Additionally, Ivory has been charged with a theft that took place on the previous day in the 200 block of North State Street.

Chicago police confirmed that Ivory is currently in custody and will face a detention hearing on Monday.
