“Kerala Man Shanil Dies in Gas Cylinder Explosion in Dubai, Death Toll Rises to 4”

Accident – Death – Obituary News : One more individual from Kerala tragically lost his life after succumbing to injuries sustained in a gas cylinder explosion in Karama, Dubai. The deceased has been identified as Shanil, a 25-year-old native of Kannur Thalassery. With this latest fatality, the death toll from the incident has now risen to four. Previously, Yakub Abdullah, a 38-year-old from Tirur, Malappuram, Nidhin Das, a 24-year-old from Thalassery, Kannur, and Naheel Nisar, a 26-year-old also from Thalassery, had all lost their lives in the same incident.

The tragic accident occurred at Binhaider Building near Karama’s ‘Day to Day’ shopping centre at 12:20 am on October 17. At the time of the explosion, there were a total of 17 individuals residing in the flat where the incident took place. The flat consisted of three rooms, and unfortunately, all of them were engrossed in their mobile phones when the gas cylinder exploded. Eight people sustained injuries as a result, with two of them being in critical condition. Additionally, two individuals were in the bathrooms at the time and suffered serious injuries. As a result of the incident, the police have initiated an investigation.

In another tragic incident, a man from Kerala named Sukumaran Sandeep passed away after collapsing while working in a workshop in Riyadh. The deceased, a native of Malappuram, was changing the oil in a vehicle when the incident occurred. Sukumaran had been residing in Riyadh for the past 33 years. The Indian Cultural Foundation (ICF) has taken the lead in coordinating efforts to repatriate his body back to Kerala, under the guidance of Razaq Wayalkara, Secretary of the Welfare Department.

These two incidents serve as a reminder of the dangers that individuals can face while working or residing abroad.
