The police have reported that a shooting incident occurred at Odom’s Pool Room located at 412 W 16th Avenue in Cordele, Georgia. According to a press release from the Cordele Police Department, the incident took place after a fight broke out at the pool room.

Authorities were alerted to the shooting and promptly responded to the scene on Saturday. Upon arrival, they discovered a 32-year-old woman who had sustained gunshot wounds. She was immediately transported to Crisp Regional Hospital for medical treatment.

In addition to the injured woman, another victim, a 44-year-old man identified as Jemiah Blount of Cordele, was driven to the hospital in a private vehicle. Police were able to speak with him at the hospital to gather information about the incident.

Investigations revealed that Jemiah Blount was working as a security personnel at Odom’s Pool Room when the altercation occurred. A verbal dispute between Blount and an unidentified man escalated into a violent exchange of gunfire.

During the shooting, the 32-year-old woman, who was standing in a parking lot across the street from the pool room, was unintentionally struck by a bullet. Additionally, one vehicle in the pool room’s parking lot was damaged by gunfire, and another car traveling along 16th Avenue was also hit.

After receiving medical treatment for his injuries, Jemiah Blount was taken into custody by the authorities. He now faces multiple charges, including Aggravated Assault, Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, Possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, and Terrorist Acts.
