Amidst swirling rumors on social media about the alleged poisoning and hospitalization of notorious underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in Pakistan, credible intelligence sources have strongly denied these claims. Speculations gained momentum following a late-night video from a Pakistani YouTuber who, relying on unverified social media reports, speculated about Ibrahim’s health condition.

However, authoritative sources have come forward to dismiss these assertions, attributing the recent internet shutdown in Pakistan to a virtual meeting of the opposition Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Netblocks, an internet watchdog organization, reported significant restrictions on major social media platforms in Pakistan for approximately seven hours on Sunday evening, which coincided with the online political gathering of PTI.

Netblocks stated, “The incident is consistent with previous instances of internet censorship targeting opposition leader Imran Khan and his party PTI.”

He also recalls his past shopping experience in Jeddah and requests Farooq to bring holy Zamzam water during his return from Mecca.

Another undated conversation involving Ibrahim’s first wife, Maizabin, and an unidentified associate, referred to as a ‘brother-like figure,’ reveals their plans for a trip that includes a makeup budget of Pakistani Rupees 2 lakh. Maizabin expresses her desire to purchase an LV bag worth 1.40 lakh United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED) and a shawl worth 10 lakh.

This disclosure sheds light on the luxurious preferences of the fugitive don and his network, despite facing international scrutiny and sanctions. Dawood Ibrahim, aged 67, has been evading Indian law enforcement agencies while engaging in various illegal activities such as international narcotics smuggling, illegal arms trade, real estate, money laundering, and terrorism.
