A heart-wrenching incident occurred in Bengaluru as a three-year-old girl lost her life after being fatally struck by an SUV. The unfortunate incident took place in front of an apartment complex in Kasavanahalli. The incident, which transpired on December 9, came to light when the toddler’s father registered a complaint with the police and the CCTV footage of the apartment was reviewed.

The victim, Arbina, was the beloved daughter of Jog Jathar, a native of Nepal. Jog Jathar, who worked as a security guard at the Samrudhi Apartment in Bengaluru, was devastated by the tragic loss of his little girl.

Driver Arrested: A Shocking Revelation

Following a thorough investigation, the Bellandur Police apprehended a person named Suman C Keshava Das, who resided in the same apartment complex. Das was behind the wheel of a white-colored Mahindra XUV 700 car when the accident occurred. The heart-wrenching CCTV footage captured the moment when the innocent girl was struck and became motionless under the weight of the car.

In a desperate attempt to save his daughter, Jog Jathar rushed Arbina to the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) for immediate medical attention. Tragically, despite the efforts of the medical staff, the young girl could not be saved and was declared dead.

Warning to Drivers and Parents

The Whitefield police, who are handling the case, revealed that the driver, Suman C Keshava Das, failed to notice the presence of the little girl before the accident occurred. This tragic incident serves as a reminder for drivers to exercise utmost caution, particularly in residential areas where children may be present. Additionally, parents are reminded never to leave their children unattended, as vigilance is paramount in ensuring their safety.

Following the investigation, the police have booked the driver under IPC section 304 A, which pertains to causing death by negligence. The driver will now face legal consequences for his actions.
