Two individuals have been apprehended in relation to the slaying of a 25-year-old man in Orillia last week.

The victim, who has been identified as Kyle Farrows, was discovered deceased in a residence on Andrew Street South at approximately 11:30 p.m. on December 14.
Initially treated as a suspicious death, the investigation later determined it to be a homicide following the completion of an autopsy over the weekend.

As of now, the cause of death has not been disclosed.
Law enforcement confirmed on Monday that two suspects have been taken into custody in connection with the ongoing homicide inquiry. The two individuals arrested are 18-year-old Mackenzie Harrod and 36-year-old Brian Allen Lancaster, both residents of Orillia. They have been charged with second-degree murder.
The investigation into this tragic incident is still in progress, with authorities working tirelessly to gather evidence and bring justice to the victim and their family.
