Details of the Incident at Angies Bodywork Spa

On November 23, at approximately 2 a.m., an unidentified woman and Marcel Santos-Padgett, a 31-year-old resident of Leicester, entered the spa’s premises. After spending around thirty minutes inside, gunshots were fired, and surveillance footage captured Santos-Padgett leaving the building with a firearm in hand, as stated by Assistant District Attorney Terry McLaughlin during Santos-Padgett’s second court appearance on December 13.

Authorities were called to the scene at approximately 11:40 a.m. Unfortunately, the woman succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head, according to reports.

Furthermore, they discovered a vehicle near the crime scene with license plates registered to Santos-Padgett. He was subsequently apprehended in Haverhill the day after the shooting.

During his second court appearance, Santos-Padgett’s charges were upgraded to include one count of murder, one count of possession of a firearm while committing a felony, one count of carrying a firearm, one count of carrying a large-capacity firearm, one count of assault and battery with a firearm, and one count of carrying a loaded firearm without a license.
