4-Year-Old Boy Fatally Shot in Lancaster Road Rage Incident

Lancaster, California – A tragic car-to-car shooting claimed the life of a 4-year-old boy in Lancaster, with authorities linking the incident to an incident of road rage.

A vibrant young boy named Gor Adamyan has been identified as the victim in this heartbreaking incident, which has left the community in shock. A GoFundMe page has been set up to support the grieving family in their time of need. Gor’s parents were on their way to purchase groceries when an encounter with a suspect driver turned into an unthinkable tragedy.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has revealed that two suspects pursued Gor’s family on Friday night, opening fire on their vehicle. The assailants allegedly cut off the family’s car on a highway before unleashing a barrage of gunfire.

Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris expressed his disbelief at the incident, stating, “It’s unimaginable. This could have been any of our families. It could have been any of us.”

Following the shooting, a 29-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were apprehended and taken into custody on suspicion of murder. The suspects, identified as Byron Burkhart (male, Black) and Alexandria Gentile, were booked at the Los Angeles County Jail.

The confrontation began around 7:30 p.m. on Friday when the victim’s family encountered the suspects in traffic on Sierra Highway. The suspect driver cut them off and proceeded to follow them through several surface streets. As the suspects pursued the family’s vehicle, the victim driver slowed down, prompting the suspect driver to pull up alongside the passenger side and open fire.

Tragically, a bullet struck Gor, who was seated in the backseat, in the torso. Despite the desperate efforts of his parents, who rushed him to the hospital, Gor was pronounced dead. Thankfully, his parents escaped physical harm.

Thanks to the crime-fighting technology recently installed in Lancaster, investigators were able to swiftly identify and locate the suspects within hours.

This devastating incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of road rage and the need for greater awareness and efforts to prevent such tragedies in the future.
