35-Year-Old Woman Arrested for Kidnapping 8-Year-Old Girl in Indore, Madhya Pradesh

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], December 18 (ANI): In a recent development, a 35-year-old woman named Jyoti Kudariya has been apprehended for the kidnapping of an eight-year-old girl in the Indore district of Madhya Pradesh, according to a police official.

The incident took place on Sunday evening when the accused abducted the girl near her residence, which falls under the jurisdiction of Raoji Bazar police station.

The prompt action by the police, aided by CCTV footage, led to the successful recovery of the girl and subsequent arrest of Jyoti Kudariya.

A police spokesperson stated, “During interrogation, it was revealed that Jyoti had borrowed a sum of Rs 85,000 from Anita Sharma, a resident of Mahal Kacheri locality. However, she was unable to repay the loan.”

The motive behind the kidnapping came to light during the investigation. Anita Sharma, in an attempt to recover the loan, had been continuously pressuring Jyoti for repayment. This constant harassment drove Jyoti to plot the abduction of Anita’s daughter and demand a ransom of Rs 4 lakh.

The police, with the assistance of local residents and CCTV footage, discovered that Jyoti had lured the girl away. Subsequently, they apprehended Jyoti and conducted a raid in her neighborhood, where they found the kidnapped girl with her hands and legs tied.

The police successfully rescued the girl and reunited her with her family. Jyoti Kudariya has been arrested and charged with kidnapping.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of community vigilance and the effectiveness of modern surveillance systems in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals.
