15-Year-Old Father-to-Be Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Crash in Sun Valley

Sun Valley, Los Angeles – In a tragic incident, a 15-year-old boy, identified as Carlos Pech, was killed in a violent hit-and-run collision on Saturday night. The unfortunate incident occurred at Strathern Street, just east of Craner Avenue, around 11 p.m.

The Hit-and-Run Incident

According to the authorities, the driver of a Cadillac Escalade lost control of the vehicle, causing it to collide with a parked car before spinning out and striking Carlos Pech. The force of the impact threw the teenager into another parked car, resulting in fatal injuries.

Tragic Loss and Injuries

Carlos Pech, who was just 15 years old, tragically lost his life due to the collision. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Additionally, debris from the crash struck another pedestrian who was walking on the sidewalk. Fortunately, this individual, whose identity remains unknown, is expected to recover.

Arrest and Investigation

The driver of the Cadillac Escalade has been identified as 22-year-old Joseph Delgado from North Hills. Delgado was arrested by the police and has been charged with murder. He is currently booked at the Van Nuys Jail. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident to gather more details about the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Grieving Family and Funeral Expenses

Carlos Pech’s family shared that he was expecting a child next month. They have established a GoFundMe campaign to seek assistance with the funeral expenses during this difficult time.
