Texas Man Charged with Murder in Shooting Death of Mother of Three Children

A Texas man has been charged with murder in the tragic shooting death of the mother of his three children. The horrifying incident unfolded in Houston, where police reported that the children were also subjected to beatings before escaping and seeking help from their neighbors.

Authorities have identified the suspect as 35-year-old Keith Marion Lee. According to Houston police, Christina Abner lost her life in the shooting, while their children managed to flee to a neighbor’s house to alert them about the attack.

A concerned neighbor recounted the terrifying ordeal, stating, “The little girl kept screaming, ‘My little brother, he’s still in the house, he’s still in the house!’ She said, ‘He shot my mother, he shot my mother.’ The daughter, if it weren’t for her, they probably wouldn’t be alive today.”

The Houston Police Department received a distress call around 1:20 a.m. reporting a disturbance at the family’s residence. Upon arrival, authorities discovered the lifeless body of the mother, and a 3-year-old child with injuries. Keith Marion Lee was found hiding on the roof of the house.

After a subsequent investigation, Lee was apprehended by the police. The two younger children, who were also victims of the abuse, were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for necessary medical treatment.

It has come to light that the Houston Police Department had been summoned to this same household on three separate occasions over the past six months. Lee had previously been arrested during one of those incidents, raising concerns about the safety of the family.

Following the recent tragedy, Keith Marion Lee was admitted to a hospital due to undisclosed reasons. Once he is released, he will be transferred to a correctional facility as per police statements.
