Police Chase from Colorado Ends in Arrest in Kansas
SYRACUSE, Kan. (KSNW) — A police pursuit that originated in Colorado concluded early Sunday morning with the apprehension of the suspect. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office received information from Colorado authorities around 12:50 a.m., indicating that a truck involved in a chase across multiple Colorado counties may be headed towards Kansas.

The truck was later spotted passing through Coolidge, traveling east on U.S. Route 50.
According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, a traffic stop was initiated east of Syracuse, where the vehicle initially pulled over. However, the driver quickly fled east on U50 as the deputy approached the vehicle.
As the driver turned around and headed back towards Syracuse, the truck veered off the road to the north on Grain Bin Road and became stuck.
During the incident, the driver brandished a handgun and threw methamphetamine out of the passenger side window, causing the glass to shatter, as stated by the HCSO.

The suspect, a 27-year-old man from Aurora, Colo., was taken into custody without further incident.
