This decline in support can mainly be attributed to Democrats (-8 points), nonwhite voters (-8), and women (-6). Among Democrats, 48% support Israel, while 33% support the Palestinians. In contrast, 76% of Republicans support Israel.

However, the decrease in support for Israel does not translate into increased support for the Palestinians. The number of voters who side more with the Palestinians has remained steady at 23% compared to a month ago. Instead, more voters are unsure (6%) or do not back either side (10%).

In other news, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have uncovered the largest-ever Hamas “terror tunnel” near the Gaza-Israel border. The tunnel system reaches depths of up to 50 meters and lies just 400 meters away from the Erez Crossing, which is the largest crossing area between Israel and Gaza.
