Woman Killed and Two Men Injured in Crash Involving New Hampshire Fire Department’s Pickup Truck

A tragic accident on Sunday in northern New Hampshire has claimed the life of a woman and left two men injured, one critically. The collision occurred between two Chevrolet Silverado pickup trucks, one of which belonged to the Errol Fire Department.

Details of the Accident

The New Hampshire Department of Safety received a distress call at approximately 11:37 a.m. reporting a serious motor vehicle collision on Route 16 in Pinkham’s Grant. Troopers swiftly responded to the scene and found that the Errol Fire Department’s pickup truck had collided with another pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction.

Eye witness accounts and an on-site investigation revealed that the fire department’s pickup truck, driven by 63-year-old Bradley Eldridge of Errol, was heading northbound on Route 16 at the time of the collision. Eldridge’s vehicle collided with the southbound pickup truck, driven by 60-year-old Richard Gauthier from Gorham.

Injuries and Fatalities

As a result of the crash, Bradley Eldridge sustained serious injuries and was immediately transported to Memorial Hospital in Conway for medical treatment. Richard Gauthier, the driver of the other pickup truck, suffered life-threatening injuries and was initially taken to Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was later transferred to Dartmouth Medical Center for further specialized care.

Tragically, Linda Gauthier, a 54-year-old passenger in Richard Gauthier’s vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene by officials.

Ongoing Investigation

Authorities are currently working to determine the cause of the collision. At this stage, it remains unclear why Bradley Eldridge’s pickup truck struck the other vehicle.
