Army Officer killed and Another Injured in Car Accident in Punjab

In a tragic incident, a Lieutenant-rank Army officer lost his life while a Captain sustained injuries in a car accident that occurred in the early hours of Saturday. The incident took place in Punjab’s Jalandhar district, leaving the military community in shock and grief.

The unfortunate accident occurred around 2.30 am near Narangpur village when both officers were en route to the Jalandhar Cantt office in their car. According to police reports, the car lost control due to dense fog, causing it to overturn and fall into a roadside field.

The Lieutenant, identified as Akshit, hailed from Hisar in Haryana. He tragically succumbed to his injuries in the accident. On the other hand, Captain Yuvraj, a resident of Nagaur in Rajasthan, survived the mishap but suffered significant injuries. He has been admitted to a military hospital for medical treatment and is currently under observation.
