According to authorities, officers were alerted to the crime just before 9 p.m., but unfortunately, the perpetrator had already fled the scene by the time they arrived. The suspect, later identified as Richard Foux, managed to escape before the police could apprehend him.

According to the Plainfield police, Foux allegedly threatened the 18-year-old cashier at the Walgreens store, demanding money from the cash register, and swiftly left the premises on foot, heading west. The exact amount of money he managed to steal is yet to be determined.

Remarkably, later on Saturday night, while officers were attending to an unrelated incident at the Music Lady Cafe on Green Hollow Road, they spotted a man matching the description of the robbery suspect.
