Indian National Arrested in Nepal with Newborn’s Dead Body

A 32-year-old Indian national, Harishchandra Kumar Sudi, was apprehended by the police in Nepal after the discovery of a deceased newborn in his possession. The arrest took place during a routine security check at a temple in the Sarlahi district of Madhesh province.
During the security check, law enforcement officials found a plastic bag carried by Sudi, a resident of Bihar. Inside the bag, they discovered the body of an infant with the placenta still attached.
The authorities promptly initiated an investigation into the matter and took the Indian national into custody.

The authorities swiftly sent the newborn’s body, along with the placenta, to the Provincial Hospital in Malangawa for postmortem examination.
In a separate incident, another Indian national named Navauddin Chaudhary was apprehended on the outskirts of Kathmandu for the possession of banned red sandalwood. The 22-year-old individual, originally from Bihar, was taken into custody during a routine security check on a passenger bus arriving in Kathmandu from Delhi on Saturday.
Law enforcement officers discovered 580 grams of red sandalwood in Chaudhary’s possession.
