Tragic Accident Claims Life of 22-Year-Old Engineering Student in Greater Noida

Authorities have reported a devastating incident in the Knowledge Park neighborhood of Greater Noida, where a 22-year-old engineering student lost her life in a fatal car collision. The victim, identified as Divyanshi Sharma, a resident of Nirankari Colony in GTB Nagar, Delhi, was attending a private university in Greater Noida.

The Unfortunate Incident

The incident occurred on a Saturday night when Sharma was driving back home from college in her Honda Amaze. Unfortunately, her vehicle broke down in the Knowledge Park area, near KB Mart. Realizing the urgency to have her car towed, she contacted a private crane service to assist her.

Tragically, as the crane was in the process of removing Sharma’s car, she realized that she had left her car keys inside the vehicle. Desperate to retrieve them, she chased after the crane in an attempt to stop the driver. However, tragedy struck when the car slowed down at a bend, causing a collision between Sharma and the crane.

Sharma suffered severe injuries to her head and face upon impact and immediately collapsed. Her friends rushed her to a nearby private hospital, but sadly, she succumbed to her wounds and could not be saved.

Driver on the Run

The driver of the crane, responsible for the tragic incident, is currently evading authorities. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter and formed dedicated teams to locate and apprehend the driver. Following the incident, Sharma’s companions promptly informed her family members and the police about the sequence of events.

Considering the gravity of the situation, Sharma’s grief-stricken family members have filed a formal complaint against the crane operator. The complaint has been lodged under the relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code, specifically addressing negligence leading to death.
