The incident occurred on Sunday, December 17, at approximately 1:50 a.m. According to the Springdale Police Department (SPD), they immediately responded to a call about the shooting.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the 21-year-old man, later identified as Steven Ogando Lopez, suffering from two gunshot wounds. SPD officers administered life-saving measures until emergency crews arrived at the scene. Lopez was then rushed to a local hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
