CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) has identified the victim in a recent shooting incident as 18-year-old Jah’Zir Jackson. The police have charged 18-year-old Al-Terrik Bogar in connection to this shooting, which occurred in southwest Charlotte late Thursday evening.
According to reports, officers from the CMPD were called to Apex Landing Way near W. Tyvola Road shortly after 11:30 PM on Thursday, December 14th. Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were immediately transported to a local hospital by MEDIC due to the life-threatening nature of their injuries. Unfortunately, one of the victims succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives from the CMPD are currently investigating the incident and no arrests have been made at this time. The police are urging anyone with information regarding the shooting to come forward and call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600. The CMPD has emphasized that they are not actively seeking any additional suspects in connection to this shooting.
