Accident – Death – Obituary News : HICKMAN COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man is facing a multitude of charges, including domestic assault and reckless endangerment, after allegedly leading authorities on a pursuit through two counties in Middle Tennessee.

The incident unfolded on Friday, December 15, when the Hickman County Sheriff’s Office received a call around 7:30 p.m. regarding a potential domestic situation involving a victim being held against their will in the Spotlight Road area.

An alert sergeant from the sheriff’s office observed the suspect’s vehicle turning off Spotlight Road onto Highway 100 and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. However, the suspect accelerated, prompting a high-speed chase involving deputies.

The pursuit eventually came to an end on Highway 7 at Natchez Trace in Maury County. The suspect’s vehicle veered through a ditch, losing control and skidding onto Old Natchez Trace Road.

Deputies swiftly approached the vehicle, and the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Jesse Waller, exited from the driver’s side. Initially disregarding the deputies’ commands, Waller was subsequently apprehended and taken into custody. He was then transported to the sheriff’s office.

Throughout the ordeal, the victim remained unharmed and was safely removed from the situation, ensuring their well-being, according to authorities.

Waller, who has outstanding warrants for his arrest from multiple counties, now faces numerous felony charges. These include evading arrest by motor vehicle, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and domestic assault.
