Man Arrested for Brutal Murder of Live-in Partner in Uttar Pradesh

Deoria (UP), December 16 – The Deoria police in Uttar Pradesh have apprehended a man who has been accused of brutally murdering his live-in partner after she refused to undergo an abortion.

Authorities report that the lifeless body of a young woman was discovered in two pieces in a field located in Barauli village approximately two-and-a-half months ago. After further investigation, the victim was identified as Khushboo Singh, a native of Paina village, who had been married in 2016 but later divorced.

Munna, a resident of the same village, had entered into a relationship with Khushboo, and the couple had been cohabiting in a rented house in Gorakhpur following her divorce. However, things took a dark turn when Khushboo fell pregnant and Munna insisted on her having an abortion, leading to a vehement disagreement between them.

In a fit of anger, Munna proceeded to strangle Khushboo to death. He then used a knife to dismember her body into two parts and concealed the remains in a suitcase, which he took back to his village. Khushboo’s belongings were also disposed of near the canal bridge.

The breakthrough in the case came from an online shopping company’s wrapper found in the suspect’s luggage. The wrapper contained an address of a spa centre situated in Gorakhpur city. Further inquiries with the employees of the spa centre revealed that Khushboo had been employed there. Armed with this crucial information, the police were able to track down Munna through questioning the spa centre employees, leading to his subsequent arrest.

Investigations are ongoing, and the police are working diligently to gather all the evidence necessary to build a strong case against the accused. Munna will face charges for the murder of Khushboo Singh.
