35-year-old David Minz Brutally Attacked and Killed by Angry Mob for Alleged Molestation of Mentally-Challenged Girl in Jharkhand Village
Ranchi, Jharkhand: In a shocking incident, a 35-year-old tribal singer named David Minz was mercilessly lynched by a furious mob in a village of Ranchi district in Jharkhand. The incident occurred on Thursday evening at Tatkundo village, located around 30 km from the capital city Ranchi. The villagers accused Minz of molesting a mentally-challenged girl, leading to his brutal death.
According to a senior police officer, three individuals have been arrested in connection with the case and are currently under investigation.
Providing additional details, Mandar sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Ankita Roy informed news agency PTI that the victim, David Minz, was a renowned Nagpuri singer who enjoyed immense popularity in the region. He had several Nagpuri songs that had gained significant traction on social media platforms.
Confirming the tragic incident, Mandar police station in-charge Vinay Kumar Yadav stated that Minz was beaten to death with sticks for allegedly molesting a mentally-challenged girl from the village. Minz was initially taken to Mandar referral hospital for primary treatment but was later transferred to Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) in Ranchi. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries during the course of treatment.
“Three individuals from the same family, who are relatives of the victim, have been identified as the perpetrators of this heinous crime. They were arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by the victim’s wife and have been remanded to judicial custody,” Yadav added.
