A 17-year-old boy was ruthlessly stabbed multiple times and bludgeoned to death with stones by six of his acquaintances in Delhi on Thursday, as stated by the police. The victim’s lifeless body was discovered in a park located in South Delhi’s Malviya Nagar on Friday morning.

According to a report by TOI, the police apprehended three juvenile individuals involved in the murder. One of the accused had invited the victim, identified as Vivek, for drinks and lured him to Satpula Park after he became intoxicated. Five others were already waiting for him at the park and launched a vicious attack using knives and bricks.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Chandan Choudhary revealed that the victim’s body exhibited severe knife wounds on his face, neck, chest, and stomach.

“A PCR call was received around 7.30 am on Friday, reporting the sighting of a body in Satpula Park. Police promptly arrived at the spot near Khirki village and discovered the lifeless body bearing injury marks on the stomach, chest, neck, and face. The victim was identified as Vivek, a resident of Indra Camp, Begumpur,” Choudhary stated, as quoted by NDTV.

During the course of the interrogation, the accused individuals unveiled that the murder plot was orchestrated by one of them, who had previously been assaulted by Vivek a few months ago.

“Upon investigation, one of the juveniles confessed to devising a plan with five of his friends (all of them being juveniles) to kill Vivek. As per the plan, they invited Vivek to the park for drinks. After consuming alcohol, he was stabbed with a knife and then brutally assaulted with stones,” stated DCP Choudhary, as reported by TOI.

The police also successfully recovered the murder weapons, which were two knives stained with blood.

However, the victim’s family claimed that Vivek had lied about his whereabouts when he left the house on Thursday. He had informed them that he was going to meet his father, but when he failed to return, they repeatedly tried to contact him, only to find his phone switched off.

It was not until the following morning when the police arrived at their residence with photographs of the body that Vivek’s family learned about his tragic demise.
