Woman Fatally Injured in Tragic Collision between 4WD and Tanker Lorry in Sandakan District

KOTA KINABALU – In a devastating road accident that occurred on Friday (Dec 15), a woman lost her life after the four-wheel drive vehicle she was traveling in collided head-on with a tanker lorry in the Sandakan district. The incident took place at Mile 18 Jalan Sandakan around 9 a.m.

Emergency response teams from the Fire and Rescue Department swiftly arrived at the scene to rescue the victim, identified as Same Hebo, who was trapped inside her 4WD following the mishap. Despite their efforts, the paramedics from the Health Ministry who arrived later confirmed that Same Hebo had succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The lifeless body of the deceased was handed over to the police for further investigation and necessary procedures. The lorry driver, aged 40, fortunately escaped unhurt during the collision. The operation concluded at 10:26 a.m., and the authorities are now working on determining the cause of the accident.
